Updates, reflections and stories from Highworth Forget-Me-Not

“The Mayor’s Country & Western Party on Sunday 26th April was a great success, bringing the community together for an afternoon full of fun, laughter, and a true taste of the Wild West.

Guests arrived in fantastic costumes, from cowboy boots and hats to full Western-inspired outfits, setting the tone for a lively and colourful event. The atmosphere was vibrant from the start with a full house.

Live music was generously provided by Kelly Sings Country, who kept the crowd entertained throughout with a brilliant set that had many up on their feet. The dance floor stayed busy all afternoon, with guests enjoying both freestyle dancing and enthusiastic line dancing.

Adding to the occasion, Domino’s kindly donated delicious pizzas and ice cream was served afterwards. A raffle also took place, raising additional funds.

Events like this wouldn’t be possible without our volunteers, whose hard work ensured that everything ran smoothly.

A special thank you goes to Julie Murphy, the Mayor of Highworth and her dedicated team for organising such a wonderful event as part of her annual fundraising efforts in support of her chosen charity, Highworth Forget-Me-Not. Her commitment to the cause and the generosity and community spirit shown by everyone involved, made the day truly memorable.

Thank you to all who contributed - performer, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who attended - for making it such a special occasion.”
